The Vampire Diaries Season Two official premiere date has been confirmed to be Thursday, September 9, 2010! That’s really soon if you think about it! The cast starts filming in July, the Season One DVDs will be released in August, and then a brand new season will begin in September! Exciting stuff!

The Vampire Diaries is back…. in 71 days! The CW just announced premiere dates for its entire fall lineup, including returning faves Diaries, Gossip Girl, Smallville, as well as rookies Nikita and Hellcats. Adjust your September calendar accordingly.

Thursday, Sept. 9
8:00-9:00 p.m. “THE VAMPIRE DIARIES” (Season Premiere)
9:00-10:00 p.m. “NIKITA” (Series Premiere)
